The use of a felt mat helps ensure a smooth rotation of the record on the turntable platter. Often called a slip mat, their design is simply to sit under the record and on top of the platter. These colourful replacement felt mats can be used on the 10-inch platter used on Pro-Ject Debut turntable models (excluding the Debut S/E3) as well as almost any turntable.
